About me

Catrinel Ștefan

I am a psychotherapist specialized in transactional analysis. This form of therapy looks at the client's current impasse in a non-critical way. I can work with you on challenges such as anxiety and depression, self-esteem, personality disorders, eating disorders, shame, identity and gender topics, and traumatic experiences.

I have experience offering psychotherapy to people from Roma and LGBTQ communities and I am welcoming toward neurodivergent people, those who feel excluded or like outsiders, and anyone facing prejudice in society.

I have studied and practiced transactional analysis, especially within the relational school with a focus on the idea of togetherness (we-ness) from the co-creative approach. I have also joined study and practice groups in body-based therapy rooted in the Alexander Technique. These experiences taught me that mind and emotional life are deeply connected and deserve constant care so we can live in balance.

How I work

I am curious about the modern tendencies of psychotherapy to become accessible for everyone and to stay in dialogue across the world and in diverse contexts. I love listening to the perspectives of people outside the field about going to therapy and about what each person takes from the process. I believe that the simpler we make our lives, the more we can feel connected to a sense of wellbeing, whatever that means for each of us.
